He uses Mod Organizer instead of Nexus Mod Manager (and he's the reason I use Mod Organizer as well), so just be aware. It's worth planning out 2-3 hours of time to sit down and walk through mod installation alongside his videos. If you want to do some serious modding, it's a good place to hang out.įinally, Dirty Weasel Media has a pretty great Youtube series on modding New Vegas. He's also super helpful with questions and the people who hang out in his small stream are generally pretty knowledgeable. If you're looking for a comprehensive list of great mods, there's a streamer on Twitch named DarkPopulous who keeps a very nice list on Google Docs of what he uses. There are a lot of great quest mods out there though. If you're looking for good quest mods, I recommend the Someguy Series (New Vegas Bounties 1-3 are the standouts) and Boulder Dome. I can play for 10-15 hours at a stretch without crashes now, before I'd be lucky to get through an hour without a crash. If you're looking to add some stability to New Vegas, pick up Borderless Gaming on Steam for $4. I also recommend DUINVv04, which take a little work to set up, but greatly improves the font style and sizing in-game. As someone who was disappointed with FO4, but thought the loot system was a huge improvement, I can't recommend this mod enough. It's an iteration of Fallout 4 Quickloot which came out first but improves on it in a lot of key ways. Loot Menu adds the Fallout 4 loot system to New Vegas.
